"The 11th Peloponnisos International Doc Film Festival invites you to a special pre-festival event, dedicated to our city's exceptional artist, Christos Riganas.

The internationally renowned sculptor, recently honoured by the Academy of Athens, will present a new work to the public, reserving a wonderful artistic surprise for all friends of the Festival.

Honouring his great contribution to art and culture, the Festival will screen a short portrait dedicated to his journey and work.

As part of the event, the documentary "Christos Riganas: Writings of the Chisel" by Cleoni Flessa, 15', will be screened.

A portrait of the Sculptor Christos Riganas, whose work is distinguished by its simplicity and expressive density. His sculptures adorn public spaces in Greece and Cyprus, the National Gallery, and private collections. Sculptures that transcend the ephemeral, crafted from marble, granite, bronze, and wood with Cubist and post-Cubist influences from Cycladic art. A tender look into the daily life of the sculptor who was honoured by the Academy of Athens with the 'Letters and Fine Arts' Award for his significant multi-year work."
