Tribute Concert to Stavros Kougioumtzis

The Kalamata Music Association “ORFEAS” is organizing a special concert dedicated to the work of the great composer and lyricist Stavros Kougioumtzis, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 20:30, at the Kalamata Dance Hall.
His songs will be performed by the outstanding Dimitris Basis. Also appearing on stage will be the Association’s mixed choir, accompanied by an orchestra made up of distinguished music teachers. The actresses Stefi and Iolika Poulopoulou will read texts referring to the life and work of Stavros Kougioumtzis.
The event, which is a tribute to the great creator, is expected to move the audience and highlight the value of his songs.
The concert is held with the support of the Municipality of Kalamata and sponsored by the Georgios and Victoria Karelias Foundation, which is the Grand Sponsor of Orfeas and consistently supports cultural activities in our city.
