Three-Day Festival 1–2–3 May – Heterotopia Project

Heterotopia Project presents a special three-day programme of events in the heart of Kalamata, from 1 to 3 May, bringing together discussion, poetry, cinema, literature, music, and live collective experiences.

For three consecutive days, the space becomes a meeting point for people, ideas, and artistic expression, hosting events that move from political discussion and slam poetry to independent cinema and a book presentation. It is a multifaceted programme that brings together social awareness, creativity, and collective experience in an open, welcoming, and participatory atmosphere.

On 1 May, the May Day programme at Heterotopia opens with a discussion on asylum occupation and continues with a slam poetry workshop, performance, and open mic.
On 2 May, the programme continues with a screening of Giannis Oikonomidis’ film Spora sti Fleva, followed by a discussion with contributors and guests.
On 3 May, the three-day event concludes with the presentation of Katerina Gyftaki’s book The Ring of Two Worlds, accompanied by talks and live music.

A three-day celebration of expression, thought, art, and community — where stories meet voice, images spark dialogue, and presence becomes experience.
