The Center for Special Therapies “I Speak – I Communicate” welcomes the new school year with a special event for parent information and empowerment, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at 18:00, at the “House by Phaos” Business & Culture Hub (18 Sfaktirias Street, Kalamata).

With the central theme “Respect & Connection: How to Build a Strong School Year”, the event aims to provide parents with knowledge, practical tools, and positive energy to begin the school year with their children in an atmosphere of balance, understanding, and emotional safety.

The idea behind the event is simple: when parents are prepared and empowered, children feel secure and can truly thrive in the school environment. The talk will focus on strengthening the daily parent–child relationship and ensuring children’s smooth adjustment to the classroom.

The program will revolve around three main pillars:

Positive parenting – How to set boundaries with love, empathy, and respect

Supportive learning strategies for parents – Practical advice to effectively support studying at home

Smooth school adaptation – Building trust, safety, and a strong collaboration with the school framework

The event will be led by two speakers with many years of experience in special education and parental guidance:

Ms. Georgia Lagiou, Speech Therapist and Special Educator

Ms. Martha Iliopoulou, Philologist, Special Educator, and Author

After the presentations, participants will have the opportunity to join an open discussion and Q&A session, focusing on topics related to school integration, learning adaptation, and the emotional support of children.

Participation is free and open to the public, and is addressed to parents of preschool and school-aged children, as well as professionals interested in deepening their understanding of the family–school relationship.
