Description :

The concert / performance / event will be in the Greek language

“Behind the Mask”
with Psychologist – Psychotherapist Dimitra Lampropoulou

Psychologist–psychotherapist Dimitra Lampropoulou invites teenagers aged 12–15 to a two-day experiential workshop titled “Behind the Mask,” where art meets emotional expression.

Participants will create their own mask from plaster bandages — a cast of their face or another part of their body. The process will take place collaboratively, as the teens help one another “shape” their mask, experiencing a unique moment of connection, trust, and presence.

The resulting sculpture becomes a personal mirror — a space for play, expression, and transformation — where each participant has the chance to discover and express different aspects of themselves through the creative journey.

Indicative questions to be explored:

How do others see me?

What do I choose to reveal — and what do I keep protected?

What happens when I give voice to my most hidden parts?

This workshop offers self-discovery, connection, and creativity — an opportunity for teenagers to reconnect with themselves through contact with others; to see and be seen, not as they appear, but as they truly are.

The workshop may also serve as a starting point for an ongoing teen support group, for those who wish to continue the process of self-expression and sharing.

MSc Psychologist – Gestalt Psychotherapist

Dimitra Lampropoulou is a psychologist with a Master’s specialization in developmental psychology for children and adolescents, and is trained in the Gestalt psychotherapeutic approach. She works privately in Kalamata, providing psychotherapeutic support to children, adolescents, and adults.

She has worked with populations in crisis — including refugees, minorities, and socially vulnerable groups — within welfare structures, special therapy centers, and as a school psychologist in schools and public support services. She has supported individuals, families, and communities through these roles.

She deeply believes in the therapeutic relationship as a space of acceptance and safety, where a person can be seen, express themselves, and discover new ways of being. She uses art and creative expression as a bridge for contact and self-awareness, enhancing authentic communication and connection with the self.
