The last inhabitants of Ginostra, a group of about twenty elderly people cut off from the world in this small village clinging to the slopes of the Stromboli volcano, live in tune with a nature that is as bountiful as it is destructive. Their entire lives have been shaped by a personified relationship with this nature and the volcano.

Mohammad Wali Gandami is the last miller who knows the techniques of building and repairing of traditional iranian windmills. At the age of 68, he is still responsible for the maintenance of windmills in the city of Nashtifan.
