A magical cinematic journey into the memory and legacy of the great Gabriel García Márquez.
The Kalamata Creative Documentary Center, in a special collaboration with FeCHA (Athens Hispanic Film Festival), invites you to the open-air screening of the atmospheric documentary "The House / La Casa", directed by Eva Villaseñor.
The Film:
For decades, Gabriel García Márquez envisioned a novel inspired by his childhood home in Aracataca, but it wasn't until he moved to Mexico City that he finally managed to complete his masterpiece, "One Hundred Years of Solitude." In this deeply moving documentary, his sons, Rodrigo and Gonzalo, return to the place of their own childhood years, a space where memory intertwines with history and transforms time itself.
