On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the courtyard of the Victoria G. Karelias Collection of Greek Traditional Costumes (64 Stadiou Street, Kalamata), Irene Skilakaki will present her new album, "Shame", for the first time in Kalamata.
Irene Skilakaki is a singer-songwriter, composer, and performer from Athens. Her music blends indie pop, folk, and art pop, with a focus on atmospheric arrangements and personal storytelling. Her songs have received significant airplay on Greek radio, and she has performed at major venues and festivals in Greece and abroad.
Her latest work, "Shame", marks a new creative chapter, featuring a bolder sonic direction and themes that explore transformation, identity, and freedom of expression.
During her performance in Kalamata, she will present songs from the new album, along with selections from her discography to date.

The Victoria G. Karelias Collection of greek traditional costumes was created, initially as a private collection, by the founding member and long-standing president of the Lyceum Club of Greek Women of Kalamata, V. Karelias. The fruit of 50 years of dedicated effort, it was bestowed on the Lyceum, to be henceforth curated by an institution widely recognised for its contribution to the preservation and promotion of Greek tradition. Ever since, as a token of gratitude and based on a unanimous decision of the Administrative Board of the Lyceum, it has born the name of the collector.
The Collection hosts, among other things, periodic exhibitions of important Greek artists that, in contrast to the permanent exhibits, prove that tradition is not a sealed space but a living organism that constantly and diversely interacts with its wider environment and is rediscovered over and over again over the course of time.
