Plot
A mysterious virus, originating in a humble public urinal in Athens, brings the entire planet under its sway. It is a transformative virus that turns everyone—without exception—into an artist. Inspiration, expression, and beauty become the new ideals driving humanity; wars subside, the thirst for money and power fades, and political and religious fanaticism wanes, leading many to believe that the human race is entering a truly Golden Age for the first time.

Things, however, could not be quite so simple, for this sweet affliction—which everyone regards as a blessing—had not yet revealed all its cards. A book that began as a novella but ended up a novel; a book that can be read either way.
