The Kalamata Cultural Dance Association ‘Dance Challenge’ is a non-profit organization founded in 2018 and based in Kalamata, Messinia, and is actively involved in organizing international and local cultural – sports events & festivals throughout the Peloponnese. It is a team effort of artistic organizations, mainly dance, in Kalamata, but also in the wider area of the Messinia prefecture. It is not a Dance School but an Association for organizing events and festivals. It collaborates with all other Associations, Schools and artistic schools in Greece and abroad.

The Association is one of the few registered in the Prefecture of Messinia in the Register of Cultural Institutions of the Ministry of Culture, as well as in the Register of Active Cultural Associations of the Peloponnese Region and the Municipality of Kalamata. Many of our events are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture & Sports, the Ministry of Tourism, the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT), while they are always supported by the Municipality of Kalamata and the Chamber of Messinia.

With much love and interest for the cultural life of our place, we create high-standard Festivals, cultural & sports events & music and dance art spectacles, through a network of synergies and collaborations of various cultural institutions from Greece and abroad.

The success of our events is based on team spirit and partnership with cultural & performing arts institutions. However, our collaboration with national and international bodies such as Ministries, Regions, Municipalities, Chambers, Institutes, Research Centers, private charitable organizations, etc. aims to encourage the transfer and exchange of knowledge, to create long-term partnerships and opportunities as well as to promote research.

Our expectation is focused on the creation of institutions for the Peloponnese and Messinia through actions of Extroversion and Innovation.
