Karelias&quot; Collection of Traditional Greek Costumes in  Kalamata from February 25 to April 13, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Through fourteen large-scale works and a video, Maria Olga translates woven, embroidered and knitted handcrafts lost or hidden in trunks into digital \u201chand-stitched\u201d representations. Listening to the breaths of women, who in earlier times and different circumstances transformed their experiences into art, she converts each stitch into a pixel and brings the significant past into the hopeful future.<\/p>\n<p>A Stilomantila from Karpathos, a traditional bridal shirt from Menidi Attica, wall embroideries from the Ionian Islands and embroidered patterns of the festive costume from Almyros Magnesia serve as inspiration for Maria Olga Vlachou, as well as love, intimacy, romance in the modern era and communication through emojis.
