The Youth Symphony Orchestras of
MUSIK- UND JUGENDKUNSTSCHULE NÜRTINGEN & KALAMATA MUNICIPAL CONSERVATORY
Music brings people together across borders. This idea lies at the heart of the international youth music exchange programme between the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Musik- und Jugendkunstschule Nürtingen in Germany and the Kalamata Municipal Conservatory in Greece.
As part of the 10th Kalamata International Music Days and the celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Musik- und Jugendkunstschule Nürtingen, this initiative was born out of a shared desire to bring young musicians from the two cities together. United by their love of music, the participants are given the opportunity to collaborate in an international environment.
The exchange is funded by the German-Greek Youth Foundation (DGJW) and takes place with the support of the Parents and Guardians Association of Students and Friends of the Municipal Arts Schools of the Municipality of Kalamata, “Terpsis”, as well as the Friends of the Musik- und Jugendkunstschule Nürtingen Association.
