2nd Students Traditional Festival

The Directorate of Primary Education of Messinia, in collaboration with the 10th Experimental Primary School of Kalamata "Petros Themelis", has the pleasure and honor to organize this year the 2nd Student Festival of Traditional and Folk Dances, which will take place at the Kalamata Dance Hall, on May 23, 24 and 25, 2025.
This year's event is dedicated to the inclusion of the Kalamatian Dance in the National Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage, which is why has the symbolic title: "Mantili Kalamatiano… piase kai syre to horo".
22 Primary Schools of Messinia will participate in the festival, as well as the dance department of SY.F.AMEA Messinias of the Lykeion Ellinidon Kalamatas, in a great three-day celebration of tradition and culture.
The event aims to bring young students closer to the roots, customs and values ​​of our country, through the magic of music and movement. At the same time, it is an essential step towards extroversion and connecting the educational community with the local society.
